A very, very interesting listening experience, that's for sure.
I wasn't expecting much at the first as the song lulled into life, rain-drops panning through my field of (audio)-vision, but as the other instruments faded into being, I felt rather relaxed, the synths made my jump alittle, wasn't expecting them, but in the end it worked nicely. the mix was very clear and well-thought out.

See, my inspiration for this song was Ballad of the Cats by C418. If you've never listened, you should, but basically, I was looking for a bass that would be in place of the synth there but was unable to find anything of the sort.
